Agencies and organizations are financially successful to the extent they have diverse revenue streams. From a fundraising perspective, public/private partnerships can have tremendous impact on operating budgets and on achieving campaign goals. Public entities (such as municipalities and school systems) are forming foundations to take advantage of private gifts, and private not-for-profits are awakening to greater potential among public funding sources at local, state, and federal levels.
