Oregon Council Retains Hartsook to
Conduct Pre-Campaign Study

Boy Scouts of America Crater Lake Council (Central Point, Ore.) supports Scouting programs in Southern Oregon, Central Oregon and Northern California with four service centers located in Central Point, Klamath Falls, Bend and Eureka California. The Council oversees four camps: Camp Makualla, Camp McLoughlin, Camp Riggs, and Camp McCaleb. Hartsook has been retained to conduct a pre-campaign study for Crater Lake Council.

Florida Foundation Founded in 1853 Looks to Hartsook to Advance Philanthropy
The Duval County Medical Society Foundation (Jacksonville, Fla.), in partnership with physicians, supports charitable, scientific, and educational activities that benefit the community's health. The Duval County Medical Society is a nonprofit, voluntary professional association of more than 2,000 physicians dedicated to the health and vitality of Jacksonville and surrounding communities throughout North Florida. The organization, founded in 1853, was the first medical society established in Florida. Hartsook has been retained to assess the organization's fundraising goals for health, education, and outreach goals.

Foundation in Honduras Works to Promote Quality Education
Fundación Ficohas (Honduras) works to reduce the dropout rate and increase the retention rate of school-aged children. The Foundation's goal is to encourage universal primary education for all the children of Honduras. Hartsook has been retained by the Foundation to increase its philanthropy for creating more pre-schools and equipping existing primary schools with the technology and equipment necessary to provide the kind of quality education that enables students to succeed.

Hartsook Attends Scholas Occurentes World Conference in Italy
Hartsook President and CEO Matt Beem was invited to attend the Fourth Scholas Occurrentes World Educational Conference held in Vatican City. Other companies in attendance included Univision, HSBC Bank, Christie's, Google and others. The mission of Scholas is to "improve education and integrate different communities, with a special focus on those with fewer resources. This is through the commitment of all stakeholders and the linking of schools and educational networks from all over the world, and by means of educational, artistic and sport initiatives." Hartsook was asked to attend the conference as the firm begins assisting Scholas in growing philanthropy and expanding its mission in the U.S. and around the world.

Hartsook Assists College Preparatory School in National Search
Holland Hall (Tulsa, Okla.) is a pre-kindergarten through 12th grade Episcopal school. Its mission is to provide a challenging, comprehensive educational experience grounded in a rigorous liberal arts, college preparatory curriculum that promotes critical thinking and life-long learning. Hartsook has been retained to assist with a national search for the organization's next director of advancement.

Strategic Planning Program for Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Nonprofit
DVIS (Tulsa, Okla.) is the only nonprofit agency in Tulsa and its surrounding communities to provide comprehensive intervention and prevention services to men, women and, children affected by domestic and sexual violence. Its mission is rebuilding lives affected by domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, shelter, counseling, and education. After assisting DVIS with its very successful campaign, Hartsook has been retained to conduct a comprehensive strategic planning program for the organization.

Hartsook President and CEO on Advisory Board for the Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy
The Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy (CSP) advisory board met in London in May. Hartsook President and CEO Matt Beem serves as a member of the advisory board. He attended the meeting in the United Kingdom where the board discussed the organization's direction and expansion, future research projects, and timely issues regarding fundraising.
