The Party's Over ... Now Let's Keep Up the Pace

Three to five years ago your organization embarked on a major fundraising campaign. You recruited a phenomenal group of professional and volunteer fundraisers and supporters. You orchestrated a highly organized endeavor. Your organization achieved its financial goal - maybe even surpassed it. Your adrenalin was in overdrive during the pre-campaign activities and throughout the duration of the campaign.

You've thanked your donors and volunteers, you've celebrated the end of the campaign and possibly even held a grand opening or ground breaking on a new facility. For all intents and purposes you're done - the party's over.

It's important to find ways to preserve the campaign momentum and incorporate it into your day-to-day activities. Consider these "Seven Cs for Post-Campaign Motivation":

  1. Celebrate the Campaign
  2. Communicate Forever
  3. Consummate Relationships
  4. Capture Change
  5. Continue Asking
  6. Close Out
  7. Come Again

The seminar "Now What? How to Keep Motivated after a Major Fundraising Campaign" will further develop these issues and others at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, during AFP's 44th International Conference on Fundraising in Dallas. It is listed as seminar LM5.
