NOTED FUNDRAISING EXPERTS ROBERT HARTSOOK,
MATTHEW BEEM TO ADDRESS VIRGINIA FUND RAISING INSTITUTE

Norfolk, Va.. (July 1, 2004) – Robert F. Hartsook, JD, EdD, Chairman and CEO of Hartsook Companies, Inc., and Matthew J. Beem, MPA, CFRE, President of Hartsook Essential, will address the Virginia Fund Raising Institute on July 19 at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel in Norfolk. The Association of Fundraising Professionals' seven Virginia chapters host the Institute.

Dr. Hartsook will deliver the conference's keynote speech – "Where's the Money?" – at 9:30 a.m. Through stories and lessons learned, Dr. Hartsook will highlight successful fundraising campaigns nationwide, and the smart thinking that made them work. Immediately following, he will sign copies of his fifth and newest book, "On the Money!" (2004, ASR Publishing – www.ASRpublishing.com). All who attend his keynote speech will receive a complimentary copy.

Beem will present "Entrepreneurs as Philanthropists" from 10:45 to 12:15 p.m. He will discuss the unique makeup and expectations of entrepreneurs and their relationship with organizations they support.
