"In this time of economic uncertainty, Hartsook Companies is pleased to announce yet another successful quarter in our company's history. Nonprofit institutions are understanding their heightened responsibility to focus their fundraising priorities and resources on experienced talent who can implement strategies that are research-based and proven. This is why we continue to lead the field."

Bob Hartsook,
Founder and CEO

AFP International Conference on Fundraising

Fundraisers from more than 20 countries will gather in Baltimore to honor the profession's past and prepare for its emerging future. Established in 1960, AFP marks 50 years of advancing the fundraising profession around the world.

Adrian Sargeant, Robert F. Hartsook Professor of Fundraising at Indiana University's Center on Philanthropy, is the leading voice for research and developing a body of knowledge for fundraising. He will be moderating sessions on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and will introduce the first-ever, academically-rigorous qualifications offered in the fundraising profession. Be among the first to benefit from the latest thinking in fundraising.

Hartsook Companies' Growing Philanthropy Tour continues with a Growing Philanthropy Day of Service, co-sponsored by Hartsook Institutes for Fundraising, Avila University and the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region, preceding the Conference.

These appointment-only sessions will provide eligible nonprofits access to some of the nation's most successful and knowledgeable fundraising consultants on April 10-11. Through a tailored discussion about their most pressing fundraising challenges, nonprofit executives, development directors and board members will gain advice that can lead their organization to fulfill their missions through increased funding.

Nonprofits with needs ranging from donor or prospect database development, development staffing, board involvement, corporate and foundation funding, communications, or strategic planning, or any number of issues that affect funding are encouraged to take advantage of free counsel during an intense, customized two-hour session. A publication celebration honoring Matt Beem and Adrian Sargeant - author of the newly-released Fundraising Principles and Practice (Jossey-Bass), along with contributing writers Bob Hartsook, Matt Beem and Karin Cox - will be held at the Hilton Baltimore on April 12 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Watch for additional details coming soon! Matt, Bob, Karinand Adrian will be on hand for book signings on April 12 and 13 in the Hartsook AFP Center (Booth 1148-1149).

Visitors to the Hartsook booth who submit a Best Practice idea will be included in a drawing for one-week stays in a beautiful beachfront condo at Shell Island Suites, Wrightsville Beach, N.C. A winner will be selected daily on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
