Hartsook Raises $8.81 Billion in Hometown
Once a year we report on Hartsook's continued engagement in the Kansas City area - our hometown. In the last 24 months, 49 nonprofits have sought out Hartsook to advise them on campaigns, ongoing funding and other philanthropic work. Together, they have raised an estimated $8.81 billion for Kansas City projects. In Hartsook's 29 years in Kansas City, we have completed over 1,000 nonprofit campaigns and raised billions of dollars to advance education, healthcare, the arts, youth services, social services and other programs.

Shawnee Mission Health Receives Mabee Foundation Challenge Grant
Shawnee Mission Health (Shawnee Mission, Kan.) is leading the way for better health through its Birthing Center, ICU, Emergency Department and Surgery Tower, with over $60 million in construction projects and nearly $20 million of philanthropy raised to support these efforts. Now, another $30+ million in projects will go to benefit Shawnee Mission Health as its foundation launches a campaign, along with a multi-million dollar challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation (Tulsa, Okla.)

Kansas City's Heart of America Council, Boy Scouts of America
BSA-Heart of America Council (Kansas City) is moving forward on its fundraising goals to make significant improvements to its two camps - Camp Bartle and Camp Naish. Its campaign will also help enhance the Council's Scouting services, strengthen its endowment and provide support to continue training a new generation of leaders in the Greater Kansas City area.

Hospice Care in Kansas City Receives Support to Expand Services
Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care (Kansas City) enlisted Hartsook to support its campaign for existing and expanded programs. Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is the largest and most respected hospice program in Kansas City. It is Kansas City's original hospice. In addition to a team of palliative care physicians and nurses, over 400 volunteers bring an added depth of services to patients and families.

$85 Million Raised in Gifts and In-Kind
Harvesters Community Food Network (Kansas City) continues to make an exceptional contribution to the Kansas City community including Northeast Kansas and Northwest Missouri. For fiscal year 2015, they have raised $85 million in gifts and in-kind food. This brings their support raised to over $330 million since the start of their strategic plan three years ago. It is expected that over the five year duration of their strategic plan, they will raise over $600 million - making them the most successful recipient of philanthropy in Kansas City.

Hartsook Clients Exceed Giving USA Benchmarks
For 29 years Hartsook clients have consistently exceeded Giving USA benchmarks by substantial amounts. According to Giving USA, $358.38 billion given in 2014. While it cannot hurt to know what happened in 2014, Hartsook is always looking ahead. During the Great Recession, when Giving USA reported that giving was down, Hartsook was encouraging its clients to push forward. While others were looking back at 2008, Hartsook clients were raising more money than ever.
