A Defining Moment for Village Shalom
Village Shalom (Overland Park, Kan.) is a senior living community with a mission to nurture the physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being of every individual whom we are privileged to serve, inspired by our heritage as a Jewish-sponsored continuing-care retirement community. Hartsook has been retained to help advance its philanthropic support to expand the campus facilities and services for its residents and the community. This campaign represents A Defining Moment in the mission and vision of Village Shalom.

Community Services League Honored in Kansas City
Community Services League (Independence, Mo.) will be recognized as the Excellence in Impact award winner by Nonprofit Connect. The award highlights the important work of Community Services League ​to assist communities in reaching their potential by providing immediate relief to people in need, assessing their situations, and providing solutions that lead to economic stability.​ The organization is a long-standing Hartsook client. Community Services League began in 1916 and now is celebrating a century of service.

Hartsook Supports Chicago Nonprofit's National Initiative
Feeding America (Chicago) is a national network of food banks leading the fight against hunger in communities around the country. Hartsook Executive Vice President Karen Haren has been involved in hunger relief and hunger advocacy for over 25 years. Prior to joining Hartsook, Karen was the President and CEO of Harvesters: The Community Food Network where she received the 2009 Executive Director of the Year award from Feeding America. Now she is combining her expertise with Hartsook and hunger relief to help support the nonprofit's national initiative.

Serving Underprivileged Children and Families in Guatemala
Hirsche Smiles Foundation (Orem, Utah) provides plastic surgery and dental teams for underprivileged areas in Guatemala. Children with cleft lip, burns and deformities receive services without charge. The Foundation collaborates with in-country sponsors to provide plastic and reconstructive surgery, dental care and dental health education to families who do not have access to these services. Since its founding in 1990, the number of missions has grown from one to four trips per year. Hartsook has been enlisted to build the organization's capacity to expand its life-changing work.

Labette Community College Foundation (Parsons, Kan.) has retained Hartsook to support the College's current and future funding goals. Labette Community College provides quality learning opportunities in a supportive environment for success in a changing world. Hartsook will assist the College in growing philanthropy to enhance its goals for student learning; education for a globally connected world; and continuous improvement to its campus.

Oklahoma Addiction Treatment Center Retains Hartsook
12 &12 (Tulsa, Okla.) offers life-saving recovery tools for adults suffering with addiction or co-existing mental health and substance use disorders. The organization is recognized as one of the largest and most comprehensive substance abuse/AOD addiction treatment centers in the region. The cost of the addiction and substance abuse to Oklahoma and its residents is an estimated $7.2 billion a year. Hartsook has been retained by the organization to strengthen its fundraising capacity and expand its work.
