Consider This...
Be led by your opportunities not just your campaign and program goals - by doing so you will find there are far more funds available to your organization than you ever imagined.
Don't succumb to the "scarcity" model of fundraising - instead embrace the belief that there is an "abundance" of philanthropic support potential and great opportunities to raise more funds than you think possible. It is a matter of unearthing viable prospects who have yet to hear and be inspired by your story.
There are many who do not yet know of your organization's great work who will be thrilled to invest in your mission once they see and understand your impact on the community. Ask those with whom you have relationships to introduce you to these potential donors by hosting a tour, luncheon, reception or breakfast at your facility. If that is not a possibility, join them for a breakfast or lunch to share your organization's compelling story.
Think maximums - not minimums - and keep looking continually for new opportunities. By focusing on your opportunities your goal will always be reached and, very likely, exceeded!
You have an inspiring mission. There are many waiting to invest in such a cause and receive the great satisfaction of making an important difference in their community through you. Go find them!
