Terry's enthusiasm and positive attitude are contagious, his knowledge and skills as a fundraiser expansive. For more than 30 years Terry has successfully lead organizations through multimillion dollar campaigns; recruited, trained, guided and inspired volunteers and fellow fundraisers; and motivated countless donors to joyfully support worthwhile causes.

Before joining Hartsook Companies, Terry served as Executive Director of Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation where he launched the most ambitious fundraising campaign in the 45-year history of Truman Medical Center where an initial campaign goal of $28.5 million, soon surpassed, was modified to $36.5 million, also soon surpassed. Ultimately, he and his staff raised more than $55 million toward a $50 million goal. The campaign involved two J.E. and L.E. Mabee Foundation challenge grants and one Kresge Foundation challenge grant.

His tenure as Vice President for University Advancement at Park University resulted in many milestones for him and his team. They grew annual giving to $1 million a year; raised more than $30 million toward a variety of capital, program and endowment programs; tripled the number of annual donors; and set an all-time record of more than $1.5 million in trustee support.

Terry holds bachelor and masters degrees from the University of Kansas, has completed numerous continuing education courses to include major gift and planned giving training, and holds the distinction of Certified Fund Raising Executive. He is an enthusiastic, inspiring and articulate speaker and writer.

Terry and his wife live in Independence, Mo. where he is an active member of and volunteer for many civic and professional organizations to include the Council on Philanthropy, Association of Fundraising Professionals and Rotary International.
