Danny Kohrs
Vice President

Good development professionals have a solid background in fundraising, while great development professionals have that and more. They bring with them a pool of knowledge and experience that includes organizational and marketing skills, financial management and an aptitude for human relations. And, of course, the talent of matching donors to organizations and their missions for the benefit of those served. Danny Kohrs is a great fundraiser with a diverse background that brings together all of these talents.

It is a very giving community where helping others is taught to children at all ages - whether that means giving of your time or your treasures. As assistant director of development at The Salvation Army Kansas and Western Missouri Divisional Headquarters, Danny was responsible for a vast array of operations including: Divisional annual operating support, the ever-critical and high-profile Christmas Campaign, major donor portfolio management, donor research and special projects. These, coupled with his experience in donor database planning and design, annual budgeting, web site development, electronic communications and grant research, make him a highly effective development professional.

Danny has a bachelor's degree from Friends University in Wichita and professional certification from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Council on Philanthropy.

Danny and his wife, Debbie, live in Kansas City. They have two grown sons and two grandchildren.
